How to Submit a SciPy APAC 2014 Extended AbstractΒΆ

author:Yung-Yu Chen <yyc@solvcon.net>

The SciPy APAC 2014 submission system is actually just http://bitbucket.org/ and http://readthedocs.org/. To submit an extended abstract, you need to make a pull request (PR) or provide a patch at https://bitbucket.org/scipyapac/scipyapac_conf_2014. Your submission is done as the PR is merged into the blessed repository and appears on http://scipyapac2014.readthedocs.org/.

If you don’t know how this is working but still want to submit, please just send me an email at yyc@solvcon.net.

An extended abstract should be submit as a file in $root/source/submitted/yourfile.rst ($root is the repository root), and a line point to the file should be added in $root/source/submitted/index.rst. See $root/source/submitted/sample.rst and $root/source/submitted/index.rst as examples.

If you need to attach media files, please make a directory using the same name as your manuscript (without the extension name), and put the media files in the directory.

The extended abstract should include (i) a title, (ii) authors, emails, and optionally affiliation, and (iii) body. The length of the extended abstract should be about 2–3 pages of A4 paper.

Please note that when you finish the submission, your abstract will be immediately published online, although it’s not yet accepted by the conference. Your abstract will be peer reviewed, and we will compile the accepted abstracts as another list.
